If two babies are born on the same night, from the same woman, but one was born at 1 minute to midnight, and one born 1 minute after midnight, are they technically twins, considering their birthday's are technically on different days?

god this girl confuses me.

So my friend Kayli, she's supposed to be like, my best friend, but she's just such hard work to keep happy!

We've been good mates for about 4 years now, and always had our ups and downs, there just always seems to be something going off where we've annoyed one another.

So here's what happened this time.

I asked her a few days ago if she wanted to go out clubbing on the friday just gone. She sais yeah and that a few others were coming aswell. Later that week I find out thats the friday my friend Jamie is having his birthday night out, so as its his birthday I told Kayli that I couldn't make it on friday and I was sorry, but it was my friend's 20th and she was already going out with enough other people so I figured she'd be ok.

Then, it gets to friday morning, and Jamie hets in touch saying that in the end only about 3 people were coming out for his birthday so the night out had got cancelled. This then means I'm free to go out with Kayli, so I send her a text saying "Hi, night out got cancelled so I'm free to come out with you lot again now! woo!". Now in any normal person's books, I would think this would be ok, considering seeing as the reason I cancelled on her was as it was Jamie's 20th. I mean, i can't just miss out on a birthday for just any other night out can I? Birthdays only come once a year for christ's sake.

But apparently this isn't good enough for Kayli. I don't know what I was thinking expecting she'd just be normal about this. Nothing's ever normal and simple with Kayli, oh no, everything's always got a negative undertone, so when she text back sarcastically, saying "nice to know we're your backup plan", I was torn between thinking "not again", and "ah she'll get over it". I was probably naive to think that taking the latter thought into consideration would make things better. But anyway, thinking I could shrug it off, I then text back saying "haha, ah well at least you're not my fifth choice! ". But apparently humor still isn't good enough for Kayli.

"That's supposed to make us feel better is it?" she replies. Well, now there's just no point trying to keep any peace. The thing about Kayli is she's stubborn as hell. So my reply to her was simply this: "If you're genuinely going to get annoyed over this, I'm not coming out with you. Especially considering how many times you've left us to see adam".

Adam is Kayli's boyfriend. They've been together about 6 months, yet seem to break up about once a month and must argue at least three times a week. Yet she continues to run back to him, and apparently anything she plans with me is never as important as plans with adam. There have been two incidents that have got to me the most recently:

Offence number 1: The day before valentines day. Now don't get me wrong, I completely understand that you want to spend Valentines day with your other half. So yno, I shouldn't have been so surprised to hear that she was going away with him this night to wake up with him valentines day morning. All I'm saying is, if you're going to go away don't: make plans with me, have me waiting around all day unable to get in touch with you, and then let me know five minutes before we're supposed to go out that you can't make it!

Offence number 2: We were supposed to be going to the cinema. The film was due to start at 8pm, so we would've set off at about half 7. Got to about 25 past and I tried calling her, a few times, and I text her, but there was no answer. It got to like, quarter to 8 and I was really annoyed, so just decided to go out with some other friends. She then text me on my way out to say she was sorry and that she'd been arguing with the boyfriend so didn't see what time it was. Basically not even thet fact that I'd been texting and calling reminded her that she was supposed to be coming out with me, and yet again, i'd wasted my time sitting around waiting for her.

So, back to the original rant. She texts me to say that when she's been with adam instead it's always been genuine situations, and I then proceeded to remind her of the above two cases. Again she had some excuse to throw back at me. I told her all I would've liked was some form of notice, which meant I wouldn't have had to sit around wasting my day.

Anyway this argument didn't last much longer. I told you Kayli was stubborn, and there was no winning with her. In the end I just told her I couldn't be bothered with her anymore, and I got no reply.

It's such hard work being her friend.
I honestly don't think I'll miss her when I go away to uni, or make much attempt to stay in touch.

Do you think that's a good idea? I dunno.
I just feel like being her friend has been a complete waste of time.
